OUR CURRICULUM
-
Your Mind
We designed the Mind Practices to provide theory and research to the monthly content and offerings.
Theory is a way to engage the intellectual mind through learning about the science involved in the content topic.
We feel that this provides a necessary foundational basis that will be most supportive to the entire curriculum. -
Your Heart
We designed the Heart Practices to center mindfulness meditation and the impact it has on connecting to ourselves.
One of our favorite benefits of mindfulness is that it creates structure for the heart to open and remain open. The Compass offers a handful of guided mindfulness meditations that Nkechi designed for the heart and connection to self. The meditations will vary in length to suit various practice needs.
-
Your Body
We designed the Body Practices to include mindful movement sessions so that space is available to explore mindfulness in a somatic/ physical way.
Body Practice is an integrative approach to fully be present in the body. Whether the practice is an expressive movement class or guided moving meditation, these practices are is all about inviting and allowing movement and energy to move through you.
-
Your Feelings
We designed the Feeling Practices to have a clear process for allowing anything that might need further exploration to have space to be discovered.
There will be journal prompts and writing exercises to further be in process with the presented material. Journaling evokes mindfulness and helps us to remain aware of the feelings and thoughts that are present while also keeping perspective.
